Ecuadorian Cacao
Cacao from Ecuador (Sumak Kakawa)
Botanical Name: Theobroma cacao
Origin: Northern Ecuador
The Nourished Goddess is deeply honored to offer ceremonial cacao crafted by Diana Oviedo, founder of Sumak Kakawa. Each batch is lovingly prepared in Northern Ecuador, carrying the wisdom, prayers, and teachings passed down to her by her elders.
As Diana shares, we live in a time when ceremonial cacao is widely spoken about across the world. Yet how often do we truly pause to honor its origins? To speak of cacao is to enter the living history of the Indigenous peoples of the Americas. It is to honor culture, tradition, and spirituality woven into every seed.
When you prepare this cacao, you are tasting the richness of the earth and the devotion of the farmers who tend the land. The scent of fresh and fermented cacao carries the memory of communities who have planted, harvested, and cared for this sacred fruit for generations under starlit skies.
Every sip connects you to the hands that planted, harvested, fermented, and stone ground the beans. This cacao is intentionally sourced, ethically prepared, and infused with ancestral reverence. Whether you are sitting in personal reflection, guiding a circle, or opening sacred space, this cacao offers warmth, heart opening presence, and deep connection.
Price: Depending on the percentage of cacao and weight- see pictures for prices.
